Rinkor Resources Firewood or Woodchuck is an independently owned and operated log splitting & firewood service. Owners, Chuck & Linda Rinkor started their home business in 2008 and now have seasoned firewood in stock (approximately 200-300 cords) for sale.
We pride ourselves on selling only seasoned wood, which is cut and split and stock piled for a minimum of 4 to 6 months prior to sale.
Seasoned Aspen is our specialty, which is readily available and burns cleaner and longer than most other soft woods. We also sometimes process and provide Ponderosa pine, Lodgepole pine, Douglas fir and Spruce.
Clyde West, our partner, delivers wood to us in 12 foot lengths, and with our state of the art wood processor, we are able to cut and split approximately 12 cords of wood a day, which is then set out to season prior to sale.
We also pride ourselves on measuring for a full cord. An accurate cord was measured using precise lengths of split wood, stacked, then by using a digital camera and inputting the data into a CAD software program we were able to determine the exact amount of wood necessary to make a full cord.
All wood is guaranteed for the correct seasoning in order to prevent creosote build-up in your fireplace or wood burning stove chimneys. Wood is cut to 16 inches and may include some shorter pieces, but is still calculated into our measurements to assure that our customers receive a full cord.
Kindling wood is available free of charge regardless of where you buy your wood. Please bring your own trash can or similar container. We will replace any wood not meeting your expectations. You are encouraged to come and inspect our wood prior to purchase.

We are located 4½ miles east of the old scenic mining town of Guffey, Co. at an elevation of nearly 9000 feet. Guffey is approximately 50 miles due west of Colorado Springs and 30 miles from Canyon City or Woodland Park. See our Get Directions page for further assistance.
